LD and I went to Welchel for just a couple hours yesterday. Only got two in the boat...LD got one about 1.5 lbs on a red worm, I got one on a June Bug worm almost 4 lbs. Tried about everything in the tacklebox (except CBs, fed that lake toooo many CBs this year LOL). Water is now very clear, once you get thru the slime, and there's lots of green slime over all the shallow areas. Water temps were mid-60s everywhere we fished. It was a cloudy, cool morning...fish were really tight to cover. To get bites, I was pitching a worm right up against the cover...bouncing on it when I could. Lost a couple nice ones trying to get them though the crap, but that's about par for that place. We are going to the Johnson farm this morning...fish are much smaller there, but there's lots of them....hopefully!!!!
Take care,
Bill
