I hear that there is a Lake Martin off of Highway 101 near woodruff??? I hear that people are catching several 10 pounders and 3 13 pounders this month.......I dont believe that at all!!! I cant find this lake at all. Does it exist??

lake martin is a private lake about 100 acres in size. I have been able to fish it many times and it is true about the size of fish in this lake. my biggest has been 10lb 1oz and i have seen 2 caught that were 12lb 9oz and 12lb 13oz on the same day all three of these fish came from a cut full of lilly pads. Icaught mine on a grass rat and the other two were caught on a buzzbait along the pads. Iguess they get big by eating the huge bream we have caught them in the 1 to 2 pound range also.

I figured it was a private lake. I know some small lakes that hold BIG fish in there like martin does. They dont get alot of pressure and are alot fun when the big lakes let you down

hummm...how do you get access to fish it?

pay by day, etc?

oh yeah!!! i see it now get you in the MONSTER POND = BIG SAVINGS on a new skeeter lol You have to know someone that lives on the lake or owns land around it. The Martins used it as a practice lake for competitions (water skiing)
