After fishing Hartwell for the last 4 weekends I decided to take up the offer from a buddy to fish his lake on Saturday up in Pickens County. I fished from 10:30 AM to about 1 PM. It was breezy and cold (about 45°) so I was rather uncomfortable. I would have stayed longer but I was just too cold! Still ended the day with 7 bass. 2 over 3 lbs the rest around 1 1/2. Caught 3 on a blade bait by the dam in 12 feet of water. The rest on a shallow crank bait in less than 5 feet. This is a dish pan lake with little cover other than a few blowdowns which I fished with a jig but held no fish. It was nice being out anyway without any other fisherman around. Probably make a second trip there in a few weeks. Off to South Florida Friday for the Holidays and plan on a few trips to Loxahatchee and maybe Okechobee. Hopefully catch a few Peacock Bass as well in some of the canals where I'm staying...Merry Christmas to all!!!!!
