Thought I needed to go try the river again. Less wind and I took more tackle to try and catch fish I marked yesterday. Water was still full pool and temps were the same. Seemed to have more color to it and they were running the sand barge. Found fish again but try as I might they wouldn't hit a thing. I threw jigs with trailers, more plastics and I even vertical jigged a 1/4 oz spoon at them, not a bite. The river has almost no current due to being full and working on the dam so no water is going out. I'll use that as an excuse......LOL. Fished about 3 hrs total. RM

My next river trip will be to another part of the river I think. There were 6 boats yesterday and 7 today and this is a small section of the river. Just gets too much pressure anymore in my opinion. RM

I may go this afternoon if I get enough done on my utility room project. I'll do something other than 99 though. Need to find some moving water and it looks like whatever they're doing at the dam is keeping the water up and not allowing any good current to stir the fish up.......LOL. RM

Well Parr is down by Hwy 34 and this 99 Island Dam is in Gaffney about 6 or 7 miles down river from Hwy 29 or I85. About a 90 min ride I'd say. RM
