Went to 99 Island Dam this AM about 7:00 AM. Water is full 86 degrees and for some reason has alot of color to it. You can only see about 6 inches down in the water. I had problems starting the gas motor, it cranked up then quit, pulled the cover and it finally cranked up with me holding the carb open, it seemed to run OK then. I rode above the sand barge and as has been the case lately very little water is moving. Fished around up there with a worm, popper and crank bait but nothing. I wanted to run the gas motor to be sure it was going to act right so I headed to the back water to try some areas there. Tried the popper, crank bait and a white spinner bait but nothing. Went to the worm and ended up catching a decent 2 to 2 1/2 lb bass and 1 dink. It was already 10:30 and getting hot fast so I loaded up and came home. RM
