i started fishing a swim bait a litel, im not sure what action rod to use right now im throwing it on a 7/6 flipin stick i chose this rod couse the bait is so hevey and i can get good distence out of it . but i have mised moore fish than i have boated im not sure if its the stiffness of the rod. eny help would be great

I don't fish Soft Swim baits so I had to ask some folks what they use and I got a few different replies but for the most part many of the guys I spoke with use a 6'8" medium rods with a fast tip similar to what you would fish with a crankbait was what most said. Hope this helps. Sorry for taking so long to reply but had to get some information first.

thanks sence the post i have ben throwing it on a 7 ft g loomis crank bait rod and i have ben boating a lot moor fish the soft tip lets them eat the bait a litel moor than the stiffer rod i was throwing .. thanks fore the tip good fishing ....

Need more info... weight? hook type?
