Hello all,
I have never fished a shakey head and was kinda wondering what all the hype is about...are they that much different than a texas rig? Just wantin to see what kind of input I can get.
Thanks in advance!

I happen to make my own 1/4 ounce shakey head jig and use a 4/0 hookand throw it on 15 lb flourocarbon line. I use anything from a finesse worm to a trick worm to creature baits on it and it works well at all times. My biggest bass on it has been 7 pounds and had a 21 lb sack with it once. It is all in the approach and presentation and confidence with what you are throwing. I have fished with others using my bait and could not get a bite and I wear them out and there have been times when others have used something else and wore me out. CONFIDENCE and technique is everything.

Softy these 5/0 are reg. jig hooks not the EWG type. They look big in a 4" worm but work good on a Baby Brush Hawg, reg. trick size & longer worm worm. Also the head is a football type w/ a spring in the head. It seems to "stand-up" better and really makes the worm last longer. Last batch I got were 3/8 oz side w/ a flat spot he grinded under the head to really make them stand up. CYA
