I know everyone either loves or hates the senko. When you can't get a sniff on the senko, what is the next senko-type bait with a different fall rate do you turn to? I have caught fish on the senko one day, and the next I can't even get a bite. I always back it with a Yum Dinger, it is my next favorite.

what i try to do is figure out where the fish are when they bit the senko. were they coming off the bottom to hit or did they hit after it sank a foot or so in other words how far did it fall before you got bit. If you stopped gitting bit after it sank for a while then i would go to a crankbait and maybe speed it up for a reaction bite or if you stopped gitting bit after a short fall then maybe a twitch bait like a rapala minnow that will dive a foot or so then float back up i like short quick twitches like twitch, twitch, twitch, pause try this it may help catch a few more.

I don't fish Senko's but know many people that do. I am not going to plug my stick bait here because It is totally different from all others on the market.
I noticed Santee24 did not mention if he was fishing the bait unweighted I know most folks don't add weights to true Senko's but there are a few that do add bait nails to them. Myself, I T-Rig my stickbait with a 1/8 oz bullet sinker and if it does not get hit in first 30 minutes I move to a worm with an action tail. This will in many cases draw a strike. I will try a curly tail worm first and then if that does not work I will go to a ribbon tail worm. If still nothing I got to a Jig with a Craw trailer and drag it slowly and do alot of stopping and line watching. If I think I need to go up in speed to a reaction baits my choice is a Fluke. It will normally get a strike if they are aggressive at all. Now I know that some folks here did post going to hard baits and there is nothing wrong with that either. It might be your only option. I will just exhaust any soft baits at my disposal before going hard baits. But than what else would you expect from a guy that makes soft baits..........

Thanks guys so much for the replys ! I will have to try some of the tips the next time I fish the senko I always fish the senko weightless. I tend to go to other soft plastic when I texas, carolina, drop shot, and shakey head rig.
