CM what kind of sitting time should we be looking at? My boat may sit for nearly 2 weeks at a time but I don't have to add gas every trip so the same gas may be in there for a while longer. Will it hurt anything to treat the gas even if it's going to be used right away?

I'd go ahead and add a full small bottle 8 oz and run the motor on the muffs for 20-40 minutes. Then replace the fuel filter on the motor. Reprime the line and run for 20 more minutes. Shut down then advance the throttle per the E-tec owners guide and set it to winterize mode.

For anyone in the Greenville/Mauldin area there are 2 stations selling [b]pure gasoline[/b]. They are at the corner of Miller Rd. and Woodruff Rd. The RED ROBIN and the BLUE JAY. Cost about $.20/gal. higher than the other gas. I guess if you go at unusual times it would mitigate the traffic problem.

If your headed down 85 from the northern suburbs itnis just a short side trip to fill up the boat.

Does anyone know of other stations in the area selling REAL gasoline?

There are two I've seen in Anderson so far, one is the mini-mart across from Electric City ford on Clemson blvd and the Bull Mart on highway 24 across from the air port. The Bull Mart charges the same for regular gas as E-10 at other stations. Currently $1.58.

Anyone know where to get some (non E-10 that is) in the lowcountry area?

Dont know about smell however we have seen the inside of fuel lines disolving where there are fine particles in the fuel filters..

This particular motor had a mix of e-85 & 93 octaine. His son had grabbed the wrong thing by mistake & put 10 gal in it. He topped it off w/ another 40 gal of 93 hoping it would be ok.

4 hours on the lake & he was at our shop w/ issues.

The entire fuel system had to be repalced..

I think we have all been asking these questions and when you are talking with all the Boat Places, they say don't worry they are made to run any thing? You spend all this money and then you have a problem and the Industry wants to say it's our fault for running the gas. I guess we are all going to have to walk around with a tape recorder. So when we have a problem we can play it back to the ones that sold you the motor and boat. Why is it once the sell is made, must do not want to stand behind what they have sold?

All these boat shows coming up and will they be telling the people up front or will they be wanting to make a SALE? You spend a few Grand and they don't want to back it when you have trouble. I guess that is why we are all setting in the unemployment line.

Why can't we all just tell the TRUTH?

Jerry's service station in Mauldin across from the post office has 100% gas and the station between simpsonville and Fountian Inn next to duke power has 100% gas.
