Besides dumping it somewhere you shouldn't, how do you get rid of used lower unit oil?

In my County, Union SC We can take it to the county Recycling center or to a couple of the Auto parts stores in town. If you know some one at a oil change center they may take it. They have tanker trucks to come around and collect the used oil. They even buy the used oil from the oil change centers sometimes.

Not sure how many places do this put all the Vol Fire Depts around here have a tank and barrels for used oil and filters. Not sure if this is everywhere or just our county. I dump alot of oil each month and have no problems. RM
