Fished saturday and running to my second stop as i slowed to idle under a bridge an alarm started to sound. A fast beep. So immediately i shut the boat off and proceeded to look over the oil resevoir and lines evernything fine. I started it back and the alarm was not there. I idled a few feet and it started again. I plained the boat off and the alarm stopped. As i slowed at the next stop i set the boat back down and idled a few yards and the alarm came back on. So in neautral i reved the hot foot a couple times and the alarm stopped but back into idle without touching the throttle the alarm started back. this is in a champion 191 and i had to change the cranking battery the day before which requires complete removel of the oil reservoir, also when i first put in and started the motor it smoked A LOT. Anyone have a clue as to what this alarm means and where to start with procedure to fix the problem?
