Has anyone had any experience with the relay switch that comes off of the starting battery. This is the switch that allows you to turn your accessories and finders on. I have a 2005 and when the switch is pushed down I'm still not getting any power to the accessories. Do these switches go bad? Anything else I need to look for before I try and replace the switch?

If I'm not mistaken Ranger changed the style of the breaker to a blade type breaker. Do you have the touch pad dash board? If so do you have lights on the dash?

OK......The circuit breaker issue has been resolved. The switch has something loose in it and it causes it to short out. Tap it a few times and it works. So that has to be replaced. The next issue that just came up is that the Speedo is not working. Everything else works but the speedo. Does anyone know if there is a fuse box and if there is where is it? I've looked everywhere.

speedo is based on water pressure. prob a cloged hose on the gearcase.

what motor do you have?

Merc 250 EFI. There's a water pressure gauge on the dash. Would this measurement be taken from the same place the speed is measured?

Water pressure is taken off the motor usually somewhere close to the adapter plate that gives you the out put of the water pump. The speedo is either taken from a separate pick up (pitot) either on the hull or from the lower unit on the motor. Look just above the bullet of the nose cone on the lower and you should see a small hole. they sometimes get debris in them. to fix that take a small drill and by HAND twist it in there to clear the hole. Fuse box should be under the console.

I used my DeWalt XRP 18 volt cordless drill and cleaned out the pin head sized hole above the cone. It was full of debris and appears to be working fine now. Thanks for all the help. I really did it by hand.
