I have a 12.5 Sun Dolphin, which is rated for a 15HP motor. I have a 15HP Evenrude but it has a long shaft and I need a short shaft to run it properly. My question is, "If I fabricated a transom riser to raise the foot up to the proper height would this be safe or even feasable?" Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again,
Hawg

It is doable. You just have to be creative.

Shouldnt be an issue just make sure you brace it up really well, and tie them in to the gunnels.
Should be a fun project!
