Friend just bought a boat and put it on the water this weekend. It didn't want to come out of gear. She's asking me where to take it but the mechnanic I use hasn't returned my call. (He doesn't work that much anymore anyway) Below is the message she sent me. Please help me if you can.

"Went out to the lake this weekend, and I had a problem shifting gears (forward to reverse, etc...). In order to shift the gears, I had to turn the steering wheel so that the gears would catch. I believe a need a new shifter cable, and I was wondering where and whom should I take it? I need someone who is honest with reasonable prices. I have a 1987 Thundercraft bowrider with a 4.3 Mercruiser I/O motor"

NOTE: She also wants someone to install a trolling motor and a sonar unit.
