I have a 2001 Johnson 225 hp serial #G04915058 on a TR20 Triton. Here is my problem. I was fishing a tx Saturday and had run about 10 -11 miles total during the day and everything was running fine. When I started to move again the boat crunk up, I put it in foward and accelerated. The boat came up on plane and was running fine. I had gone maybe 1/2 mile and it choked down and cut off. Never made any foul sounds or skipped or anything. It just seemed like it ran out of gas. I have checked it and cannot find anything leaking or loose or clogged up. It will crank every time you hit the switch and it will idle untill you cut it off. It will idle fine and when you put it in gear it will start idiling foward but as soon as you give it gas it will choke down and cut off. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong?
