Alright dont pass out, a 1961 Johnson 20hp tiller steer motor. I hit a sandbar in 18 mile creek and since then it has had a problem of when you take off, there is a point where the prop will stop turning, but the revs wil keep going up. But if you ease on the throttle and take you like 2 minutes to plane off, it will go and be fine. Took it out today and it wouldnet get on plane at all. Took the prop off, shear pin is fine, thinking it might be a bearing in the foot, not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

I would pull it and look at your gears. Its possible that you have a worn spot on your gears and your clutch isn't fully engaging. These parts do wear over time sometimes you can pull forward on yout shift leave and force it to stay engaged under hard acceleration but regardless you got some work ahead of you.
