We had three boats go out Saturday morning and check back in at 1pm. Most reported the topwater bite is really good in the morning then a Carolina rig lizard was ticket after 10am. Between 3 boats we dressed 53 Largemouth and 2 spots. Time for a church fish fry.

All I can say is wow.

How many people did the 3 boats have?

We had 12 people total. We released most of the spots because they were smaller. We did however keep 2 spotted bass over 4 pounds each.

Yeah WOW.... why not keep and eat the small spots and work on preserving the fishery.... Unfortunate.

Good job!! I throw every spot I catch up on the bank as far as I can. Turtles and Birds gotta eat too. Im glad somebody is taking it upon themselves to regulate the largemouth.....

Y'all are being trolled so hard

The big largemouth taste way better than the smaller spotted bass and make larger portions for the fish fry. We are heading to Lake Hartwell this weekend to gather more fillets.

They say the largemouth on russell are full of mercury!!!

There's not 53 largemouth in Russell. Go back under your bridge.

The Warden will not do anything unless you have over your legal limit. We were within our legal limit. I will post more pictures of the fish we are going to fry after our trip to Hartwell.
