I thought the rain would push some of the guys away but it actually worked out in our favor. It pushed most of the pleasure crafts away and we had clear skies most of the night. I had 32 boats show up to fish and most everyone said they caught a limit but everyone said the fish were small. I know that's the problem we had Saturday night. We caught several on different baits (spinnerbait, shakey, jitterbug) but just didn't have any good fish. We only weighed in 7 pounds with our 5. However there were 5 sacks over 10 pounds and it took over 11 to get in the money. RESULTS as follows:
1st Place... Justin / Eric with 12.49 pounds
2nd Place... Eaves / Nalley with 12.40 pounds
3rd Place... Randy / Chris with 11.33 pounds
Big Fish... Also went to Randy / Chris with a nice bass just over 5 pounds
I do appreciate every one that came out to fish with us and I hope you guys can make it to our next OPEN on Lake Hartwell in two weeks. (7/29/17) It will be another night tournament and I will post it before the end of this week. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions about the tournaments or the fishing club.
