Just wanted to post the results of the 2017 Championship held on Lake Jocassee this past weekend. I had 28 boats qualify for this event through our POINTS Race or with perfect attendance. Most said that the fishing was tough with only 10 teams weighing in a 5 bass limit. However, there are always guys in this group that whack 'em, and they did on Saturday. There were 6 fish weighed in over 5 pounds. Results, winnings, and pictures as follows:

1st Place & Big Fish... W Anders / Blackwell with 19 lbs. BF was 7.18 lbs. ($2500)
2nd Place... Simmons / Swett with 16.8 pounds ($1200)
3rd Place... Bellvelle / Braezelle with 14.01 pounds ($900)
4th Place... Lingefelt / Howell with 13.26 pounds ($600)

SINCERE THANKS to all of you guys that joined Cowboys this year and helped to make it such a success. I ended up with 151 members and averaged over 30 boats at every tournament. I saved almost $6000 this year which was used for trophies, cash prizes for POINTS champions (Simmons / Swett), Biggest Bass of the year ( W Anders), Largest Stringer of the year (Fordree / Tate), and the rest went to the Championship payouts. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!
