Cowboy's 2018 Bass Club season opener on Hartwell starts Saturday (3/24/17) at Twin Lakes. We always have a good turnout for this tournament and I expect around 50 boats. However, I do want to remind you guys that this is a CLOSED tournament and membership is required for this tournament. The dues are only $25 per person and the entry is also $25. Lake Hartwell - Twin Lakes Landing
Safe light till 3:00 pm (please be in the water before safelight)
5 fish - 12 inch minimum - bag limits
No live bait - No trolling
All state and local laws apply
The club pays out 3 places and big fish during each event (1st, 2nd, 3rd & Big fish) regardless of the number of boats. I pay out 100% of the Big Fish entry and 80% of the remaining monies. The remaining cash, and all membership dues, are saved to be paid out in the Championship at the end of the year.
There is also a side bet that some of the guys get into. It's a SIX POUND pot that cost $10 per boat / per tournament and it keeps building until someone catches a bass that is 6 lbs or better during one of our closed tournaments. This pot is already over $1000 because it didn't get busted last year or last week on Keowee. It would cost you $50 to get in the pot at this time.
