Awesome turnout on Hartwell for this tournament. I had 55 boats come out and fish the event and most all of them said that the bass bit early and off / on for most of the day. There were over 30 boats with a 5 bass limit and 15 boats with more that 10 pounds. There were nearly 15 bass weighed in that weighed over 3 pounds. We had one of those 3s and came in 5th with 12.52 lbs and caught most of ours in the first hour of the day. Caught all of our fish in less than 5 feet of water. I had a personal first because I couldn't stand up so I cast / hooked / boat flipped a 2.5 pounder without ever getting off my butt in the seat of the boat. (LOL) And since I couldn't stand, I didn't get to look for bedding bass but two guys did tell me that they caught a bedding bass. NONE of the bass that were weighed in appeared to have rubbed tails. RESULTS as follows:

1st Place... Anderson / Masters with 19.89 pounds
2nd Place... Aiken (new member) with 19.68 pounds
3rd Place... Grainger / Thomas with 13.84 pounds
Big Bass... Aiken / Bryson with 5.29 pounds

Thanks to everyone for your patience with me during the event. I really struggled to be there and told my wife on Friday at dinner that I wasn't sure I'd be able to get dressed Sat am. But my son stepped in and did ALL OF THE WORK for me so all I had to do was run my mouth. (easy for me) Thanks again!

NOTES: My club now has 113 members and has collected $3400 for the Championship after just 2 closed events. Also, the SIX POUND pot did not get busted and is now up to $2340.

The next tournament is at Lake Russell on Sat. April 6th. I'll post it as we get closer to the date.
