The first tournament of the season is done... and most of us are glad it's over. LOL There was a light snow at around 11am that had your boat covered by noon. But the bass didn't seem to notice because they were biting on everything. I know we caught fish on most every point we pulled up on and others said they caught their fish shallow. I heard fish were caught on everything from soft plastics to spinnerbaits. We had 24 teams show up and only 12 or so were there at the weigh in. But that's ok because it was cold and miserable on the water around 1pm. Still there were 4 limits over 10 pounds and one over 18 pounds. RESULTS as follows:

1st Place... Cantrell / Cantrell with 18.46 pounds
2nd Place... Whitted / Morgan with 11.93 pounds
3rd Place... Hardin / Hardin with 11.23 pounds
BIG BASS went to the Cantrell team. 4.91 pounds

Thanks to everyone for coming out and fishing with me. Hope to see you in two weeks on Lake Hartwell. That will also be an OPEN tournament. (no membership required)

One thing I noticed Saturday during the BFL. You have a couple of guys fishing out an older white and black skeeter in the mid lake area. They came between me and a dock that I was 25 yards from. They said they were fishing the cowboys. They crossed the creek and then cut off another boat going into that pocket. I didn't get a name but maybe tell your guys not to fish or cut off anyone within 50 yards? It's common courtesy.

No problem. I'll make mention of it during next week's registration and just before blast off.
