It's going to be a good weekend to be on Hartwell. The big bass are ready to move in so the bite should be great. This will be our first CLOSED tournament on Hartwell this the year so membership is required. I expect around 35 ~ 40 boats for this event. Maybe more because I had 56 last week on Keowee and have over 90 members now.

Lake Hartwell -- Twin Lakes
Saturday, March. 21, 2020 Safe light till 3 pm (I'll start taking entries around 6:00am)
$25 entry fee per boat (team event but you can fish alone)
We will have two side pots...
1. $20 side pot where it's winner take all at the end of each tournament
2. SIX POUND pot where it only pays out if someone catches a bass over 6 lbs. The money rolls over to the next tournament if no one does.

No live bait and no trolling
All state and local laws apply

Membership is required for this event. Memberships is only $25 per person if you're interested. Send me a quick email if you want info about the club and I'll send you a copy of the 2020 Rules, Schedule, and Membership form.

Just wanted to bump up the post and report that we are still having the tournament. A lot of guys have texted me asking if we should cancel the event because of what going on with the virus...

I want to make light of it and say... that most of these guys can't catch the virus because they can barely catch a bass... but that might not be politically correct!?!

Seriously.... I am concerned about the possible spread or this, or any, virus simply by all of the cash that changes hands during one of these tournaments. I'll be wearing gloves Saturday am and asking that everyone have the correct amount of cash available when they get there. You guys know the entry fee, membership fee, and cost of any side bets you want to participate in.

Due to the current situation with the virus I will be making a slight change with the Hartwell tournament this Saturday.

First off... I am still having the event! But I have to face the fact that some of our members have health risks and do not feel safe in a gathering of 50 or more people. Therefore, I will not have this as a POINTS or PERFECT ATTENDANCE tournament. IE: If you decide to sit this one out... you will not be penalized with an absence.

It will still be a membership only tournament and we will still have the SIX POUND and $20 SIDE POTS. I appreciate everyone's understanding with this very serious issue.
