As federal, state and local agencies issue directives related to mitigating the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Duke Energy access areas leased and managed by city, county and state entities may be impacted by closures. Some sites may remain open but experience temporary changes in procedures such as check-in, reservations and payments. Please check with the managing entity for details regarding temporary changes and closures. The public is asked to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while recreating at Duke Energy access areas. If recreation facilities cannot accommodate recommended social distancing of 6 feet or greater, users should seek alternative locations.

All public restroom facilities at Duke Energy-owned and managed access areas will be closed due to public health concerns related to the spread of COVID-19.
South Carolina Executive Order 2020-25 authorizes the reopening of public boat ramps in South Carolina while fishing platforms are to remain closed. In accordance, all Duke Energy-owned and managed boat ramps in the state of South Carolina are open for the launching and retrieving of boats. Duke Energy sites leased and managed by municipalities may be closed or impacted as noted below. Lake Jocassee – Devils Fork State Park. Main boat ramps are open with limited parking, all other park facilities are closed. For additional information, contact Devils Fork State Park: 864.944.2639.
Lake Keowee – Mile Creek County Park, Pickens County, S.C. Boat ramps are open with limited access and parking, all other park facilities are closed. For additional information, contact Mile Creek County Park: 864.868.2196.
Lake Keowee – South Cove County Park, Oconee County, S.C. Boat ramps are open with limited access from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. daily, all other park facilities are closed. For additional information, contact Oconee County PRT: 864.882.5250.

Lake Keowee – Fall Creek Access Area (South) is closed. Fall Creek (North) will remain open.
