We had 37 teams come out and fish on Jocassee and most reported that the bite was slow. Only 12 teams had a 5 bass limits but there were a lot of big fish caught. There were 8 sacks over 10 pounds, 9 bass over 4 pounds, 4 bass over 5 pounds, and it took almost 17 pounds to get in the money. Guys said they caught fish early, others said late, and some said all day....
1st Place... Stroup / Harrison with 18.24
2nd Place... Brooks / James with 17.95
3rd Place... Tompkins / Patterson with 16.91
Big BASS went to Stroup / Harrison with 6.68 lbs. They also busted the SIX LB POT and won the $20 SIDE POT.
Thanks to everyone for coming out. I took in another 7 new members which takes the club up to 175 members. All of that cash goes to the end of year Championship and cash prizes which are already over $5300.
The next two tournaments are OPEN events but they are night tournaments (6 till midnight) Keowee on 7/11 and Hartwell on 7/25. Don't hesitate to contact me if you're interested.
