I had a great turnout this week with 57 teams showing up to fish and most of them reporting that they caught a lot of bass. Some guys said they boated more than 30 bass during the day and there were some great weights for the day. There were 16 sacks over 10 pounds and 5 sacks right at 15 pounds or more.

1st Place... Blackwell / Wyatt with 16.40 pounds
2nd Place... Derek with 15.48 pounds
3rd Place... Holcombe / Thompson with 15.02 pounds
Big Bass... John / Jameel with 4.95 pounds

It appeared as though Lake Hartwell bass have finally decided to go into the fall pattern and start moving up to fatten up. There were a lot of bass over 3 pounds weighed in and guys said they caught bass on just about anything they wanted to throw. I know that David and I caught a dozen bass in the two pound range and caught them both shallow and deep, depending on what we were throwing.

Thanks again to everyone for coming out to fish. It made for a great payout in this event. I paid out more than $2200 in this tournament. The SIDE POT alone was $960. Hope to see all of you guys again in two weeks.
