Went to the dead sea for a couple of hours this afternoon, surface water temperature 42 deg. visibility ~ 8 foot. Mountians were beautiful on the Linville side, only saw 2 duck hunters and me. They had 5 ducks and I didn't get a bite! Saw alot more fish on the electronics than I remember for this lake in years. I will go back soon on a warmer day. :wink:

been wanting to go up there for sometime this yr just havent made it....been waitin for a cloudy day, been wantin to try the floatin fly deal, thanks fer report , not many go up there from this web, or choose to share info, i do my beast up there in november - march

What do you catch on a floatin fly? :?:

Smallies, LM, walleye? The fish I saw were fairly deep 15 - 30'.

Floatin fly is supposed to catch smallmouth, which is what i go to james for, but if anything else bites it , im down with that.....been wanting to fillet a wallaye, they say that is one of the best tasing fish!!!
