Hey hitting Norman Sunday. Sounds like I need to be near the hot hole(s). Sounds like my crankbaits won't help me and I need to doodle, C rig, or spoon. Is that about the size of it? As always any help willbe appreciatted - any sucess willbe reported (with mild exaggeration)

Cooter I have not been there in 3 - 4 weeks. Just got back from two days at Murray. Past exp. tells me if you're fishing the lower hothole you know the water will be gin-clear so in my arsenal that means I'm c-rigging green pumpkin/watermelon or any other color you like in clear water. Early and late a floating worm sometimes suprises you,(same colors) and sometimes I can get bit on small shad colored cranks around docks.

The upper hothole will occasionally have some color, not much, but there is more structure like docks,points, etc. I still throw the same baits and colors there too.

Don't know about the striper bite having not been but if it's like Murray was look for the shad balls and fish them when they are on ledges or drops in the 30 - 35 ft range.

Kind of general info I know but having not been I can only tell you where I'd start. Maybe Splash or someone else familiar with Norman will jump in.

This is the best time of year for Norman...not many cigarette boats or yachts
Hope ya get some..are they getting bigger than 10" these days?
