As of last week there were a handful of Bowen maps at SS. They do show some contour, but keep in mind, these maps are just screen print copies of the original plat maps when Spartanburg County WW filled in the lake. No other official maps have ever been made.

I spoke with Kingfisher maps who can do a map for the lake as a special map. There are no immediate plans for a map at this time. The cost for a single one-off map is about $50.00 if it is not any extra work involved. The price would probably come down if there were numerous maps bought. Just a thought is anyone wanted to try and get some.

And the map would show bottom contour? I checked out their website and couldn't find anything about having maps made. Did you call them or something? I've already got the one from SS. The map available is okay, but not what a hardcore guy is looking for. I'm in with the detailed map if anyone goes in for $50, I'll buy one.

Yes I talked to them. It is something that they can do, the one they did for Saluda lake was a special one for a professional fisherman over in Greenville. If there is enough interest, I am would like to go into more detail about what kind of detail they would be able to put on there. I think that it would be fairly detailed because they would not want a sub-standard map with their name on it.
