Got on lake 730AM already noticing white caps of 2 -3 ft. swells. Said oh well will only get this 1 chance to practice B4 the 28th TX. Talk about scary but quiet fun so made the trek to my fav. point & marked fish 12 to 15ft on the graph. Guess what had the whole lake to myself too, hehehe. Saw (2) boats early but they left early also. Water purty stained got muddy towards I26. Not sure what temps were but wind was howling & kicking my butt. Picked up keeper 2+ # on the scale with DD22 @ 8AM, another keeper same style & size bout 815AM. After that went quiet till about 1PM. Pitchin laydowns in cove picked up me a nice hawg 4+ # on the scale with JnP. Couldn't take the @ss woopin anymore in the main lake. Made run back towards park fished some rip raps missed another nice one on JnP felt like 3+ # luckly for the raps to help block the winds. Called it about 3PM, had bout 4 or 5 swells go over the bow luckly had my new nuclear power bigle pumping. Oh yeah it was cold after getting washed out, those swells had to be around 3+ ft by that time in mid lake. I would recommend to myself and anybody not to do that again actually got scared, was tuff putting boat up on ramp at Hwy 9. Had to switch to steep side. All in all for the conditions it was not to bad.

You got guts man! But at least you caught fish, I'm impressed. With winds like that, the hard part is putting it back on the trailer.

It's called stupidity Hooked. Oh trust me I'll never be doing that again after the fun time I had putting on the trailer. Forgot all about those fished I' ve caught when I was riding those white caps.

Thanks bfishing. Bowen is a hit and miss lake man. 1 day they could be killing anything U throw the next nada. Try deep brushes, laydowns, rip raps & points.

River got desperate man, guess got on the lake and looking at all them waves made the blood rush to the head to fast. Trust me won't be doing that again.

Man, you are crazy. BryanR and I were out early (7am). Not fishing yet, just tooling around. We saw that thing come in. First the trees, then the white caps. Were you heading towards 26? We saw a smaller boat going out while we headed in.

Yeah, that was probably me heading towards I26. Mine was aluminum 16.5ft. boat. Trust me Badger on the way comming back I didn't even think about the fishes much anymore. Hehehe, LMAO.
