Took the wife down to Lake Oconee for a weekend getaway. It was "her weekend", but I did get to slip away for a few hours while she did some shopping. Fished from 1:30 to 5:30 Sat. afternoon. Boated 4 fish and lost 1 other. Had a 3 pounder and 2 pounder on a spinnerbait, and a 5 pounder and 1.5 pounder on a lizard. Caught all of them in the standing timber in the Richland Creek arm. Lots of wind and tons of pleasure boat traffic. I felt lucky to catch what I did in the short time I got out there. From what a local told me, the bite was much better early and got tough in the middle of the afternoon.
