I can and would be glad to... but getting Loomis blanks is going to be a neat trick.

Loomis (Shimano) is officially ending the availability of blanks for custom builders effective 12.31.09. But really it's already begun. Ordering one from them is a VERY long wait (not a hopeful one either), so if you can't find it in stock, good luck because the builders are snatching them up like crazy. Then there is going to be a huge warranty dilemma after 12.31 because they will not be able to replace blanks. Apparently when the front of the factory is making blanks for builders, the back of the factory has nothing to do until they are done. So it's a cost savings move. That came directly from Loomis (Shimano).

You may want to consider looking at my "normal" blanks, which are the ones you've quite a few posts about on here. I've had two guys come out of GLXs to go in these blanks. They are a huge value. Incredible blend of performance, durability, and price. A 7' usually comes in under 4 oz and my 7'9" comes in about 4.8oz. I'll have some of these rods and a few others with me this Saturday on Russell. Nothing like putting your hands on one.

great rods i have 2. depending on what u want about half what u paid for the loomis. alex i will be needing a new deep crankin rod soon. what u suggest.

$500 is pretty steep! BUT if I were going to build on a GLX - it's going to be over $400 without even sitting with the pricing spreadsheet in front of me.

The JDM styling costs a little more than a normal build, in the $25 more neighborhood (there are some variables). You're paying for the little pieces of aluminum and there are only 2 affordable sources - so not a lot of wiggle room. I only charge for the additional parts with it.

Roy - 7'6" - 8'. I got two blanks in stock that are 7'6" that would work perfect. Lemme know when to pull the trigger!
