Lookind for a rod to handle crankbaits such as Deep Little N, and DD22. Maybe even smaller ones. I have been looking at an American Rodsmiths David Fritts Series. What do you guys think?

It will do the job. Those are heavy because they are fiberglass.

If you are specializing, you typically aren't going to throw a DD22 on the same rod as something like a 300 series crank or smaller. You're going to sacrifice casting distance and performance for the smaller cranks.

if you throw your large crankbaits on a rod limber enough too throw say a bill norman little N or bomber 6A. you may hook yourself in the butt or back with the . Diff need to consider 2 differrent rods. my opion on the D.F. Cranking rod is its good for its time....too heavy by todays standards.

i have a few bps crankin sticks but im not satisfied with them. seem to have trouble keeping fish bttoned up with them. got a few new rods recently, team diawa-s that is a glass/graphite composite has performed well. also have a 7'10" shimano for dd22's,big bombers, and hot lips but have yet to connect with a deep bite so jury is still out on that one. good luck.

I like my American Rodsmith rods.... 7'm for the big baits, 6'6"m for the small baits. That 6" really makes a big diff on either way...... However, a friend of mine let me test drive a new rod he got from Brian's Bee's. Its 7'10" and will flat out fish a DD22 like nothing i'v ever used before. I now have one of them on my Christmas list................
