I have tried both and think the Supreme is a much smoother and better reel. if you want Presidents I can get them for you afor$100 plus shipping.

The Purist, President, and Supreme are all great reels. I have used them all. All my life I have always been a Shimano fan, but Pflueger and Browning are rapidly winning me over. The last 3 reels I have bought have been Pfluegers and Brownings and they are my favorite reels.
The Supreme is the only reel I know of with both internal centrifugal and external magnetic braking. I use mine on a med-heavy spinner bait rod and it adjusts easily to throwing 3/16 oz to 5/8 oz spinnerblades with just a click of the switch. My supreme does make a slight wisping sound on the cast, but that can be the copolymer line I'm using.
Sorry, didn't mean to write an ad. But, for the money, these reels are tough to beat.
