Well I put the x-85 on the trolling motor and it sure did work a lot better than the x-75---much clearer reading and does not lose the depth as bad in shallow water :!:

NOW

if I can just get the Big Mercury running well again, without spending a bundle, I'll get back to fishing

Monk glad to hear that switching the units worked good. Did the same with a couple of units I had 48/49. Apparently everything is interchangeable with units that are a pair.
Was reading your other post about the Merc. Will keep my fingers crossed that it's the cheapest thing it can be. Good Luck.
