Here is the way to set them up. Level the trailer on a concrete floor of a relitivly level floor. Measure with a tape measure from the bottom of the pad to the floor, record this info. Now trim the motor down and put a torpedo level on the cavitation plate and center the bubble. Now measure from the floor to the center of the prop shaft or the center of the bullet either works. Subtract that from the pad heigth. That is how far your motor is below the pad. A good starting point for most performance boats is about 3.5" below the pad. If you have the motor on a plate center the plate and lift the motor on a lift eiter up or down to get this heigth. You now have a starting point. Your optimal goal is to get the hull to lift and run on pad with the most efficent setting on the plate while maintaining prop bite, water pressure, RPM's in the power band and a rooster tail about even witht the top of the cowl at full trim.
