It's been a while since I last posted, but I've had a lot going on, including cleaning a BUNCH of reels.
There are a lot of Shimano Curado 200Bs out there, as it's one of the most popular bass reels ever made. Here's article showing you how to tune them up for this year's fishing.

i got a curado 100b. will these instructions be accurate or atleast close for this reel also?
also, it tends to backlash at the end of the cast...two of the magnets are in the "out" position. should i push one back "in" or pop another "out"?

Curado 100 - yup, close enough, except the 100 doesn't have the bearing on the spool.
Backlash at END of cast - that's controlled by the spool tension knob, not the brakes.
Backlash or "fluffing" of the line in the MIDDLE of the cast -- controlled by the brakes. Pop the "brake collars" out to add more braking, in for less.
BTW - Shimano's use centrifugal brakes, not magnets.

i have been enlightened.
its probably the brake collars cause i have played with the tension knob with no success. ill try poppin one or two more out.

Hey Reel Doc. Anyway you would make one of those tools for removing that pin on the spool of the Chronarchs and sell it to me. If I tried to do it I feel pretty sure I would screw it up.

Sorry, Tripp, but you don't have that much money! LOL!! It took me over an hour to get them "just right". Here's a link to the pliers I started with if you decided to do it yourself.
