looking to upgrade my flipping stick with a new reel, kinda like to have one with the flipping switch, so what do you guys recommend??

If you can settle for one with out a flipping switch, I would use a shimano Chronarch 100Mg. i have one on my jig rod and I love it. Its super smooth. :grin:

A lot of my Daiwa's have/had that Flipping Switch on them ........................ I never used them. Heard Denny Brauer say not to use it in a Bass Fishing Techniques class in Greenville one year about 12-15 years ago when I was learning to flip/pitch.

I liked the reels, unfortunately they're not made anymore, but the other Team Daiwa's I used since then quit useing the switch, which was of no problem to me.

But then again I throw with my left arm and reel with my right hand , thus getting the reel in-gear is no problem for me, LOL ! ! !

Good Luck with whatever you buy !

been lookin' at the daiwa viento kinda hard, think i'll pick one up this weekend, but have you seen or heard anything on the shimano castaic sf??

I have one of of these and don't like it..: Quantum AC501PT left handed thing..

I have 5 of the OLD Abu Garcia mag xl and love them... left handed too... they are still available on ebay weekly... I bought mine in the late 80's... still the same price on ebay..
