GREETINGS ALL! I HAVE A BASS PRO EXTREME{GREEN} THAT SQUEELS LIKE ALL HECK WHEN CASTING. ANY IDEAS? I ALLREADY SWAPPED THE SPOOL BEARING WITH ONE FROM ANOTHER REEL{ IT DIDNT SQUEEL IN THAT ONE}AND GREASED THE PAWL,WHICH DOES NOT TURN WHEN CASTING. HELP!

Rules of Thumb for Reel Lubrication:
1) Bearings and bushings get OIL
2) Gears and sliding parts get GREASE.
First thing to do is to follow Roadkill's advise. Remove the bearings from the reel and clean them with lighter fluid, brake cleaner spray, etc. the re-OIL them with a good quality, light reel oil. I use Yellow Rocket Fuel, but there are also other fine oils on the market.

See the Rules of Thumb above. Your Daiwa reels have THREE (3) spool bearings. One in the brake sideplate, one on the inside of the frame (visible when spool is removed), and one under the cast cap. All three must be serviced.
