Yellow Rocket Fuel by a long shot for bass reels. Hot Sauce provides much less protection against corrosion than Rocket Fuel. An engineer friend of mine did a corrosion resistance test on about 30 different reel lubes including Rocket Fuel and Hot Sauce. Hot Sauce fell out of the test very early on, and he had to shut down the test before Rocket Fuel fell out. It's exactly like the one I use in the shop.
You only need to flush the bearings once and then apply Rocket Fuel. There's no need to flush before re-oiling with Rocket Fuel - just add another drop.
Oiling in the filed -- get yourself a bottle like this and carry it in your tackle bag or boat. It's exactly like the one I use in the shop.
