I put on a benefit tournament each year for The Connie Maxwell Childrens Home in Greenwood,S.C. The home is a place for orphaned kids. 90% of there funds come from donations. I am looking for sponsors to possibly help with this tournament. I have never asked before now. These kids need our help. We would greatly take any kind of donation. We would like to be able to raise enough money to fund the first place prize at the tournament which is $1000. If we could raise this before hand then the money we receive at the tournament would be pure profit for the childrens home. Come on guys we could use anything that we could raffle off or give away as door prizes to help draw more teams to fish like fishing lures or fishing rods, reels, equipment etc. Also if you plan on fishing the tournament which is in April we ask that you donate some sort of paper product for the home when you pay your entry fees. Come on guys, I know we can do this. Lets help these kids and show them there are still some good people in this world. Thank You!
Contact info: Rusty Nickles 864-554-9267 or Brad Martin(Connie Maxwell) 864-554-3387. Please leave a message if no answer.

We already have 2 donations and are selling raffle tickets to raise money.
Josh Hill from Josh's fish-n-guide service has donated a 2 person 4 hour guided stripper fishing trip on Lake Hartwell. Trip is valued at $250. Tickets will be 1 for $5 or 3 for $10. Trip is good for 1 year from date of drawing(April 19).
We also have a hand quilted afghan that has been given to us. There is $65 worth of materials and about 200 hours of labor in making this afghan. Tickets for the afghan are $1 a piece. All proceeds go to The Connie Maxwell Childrens Home.If your interested in buying a ticket you can contact me at 554-9267.

Rusty, Good Luck on the water tomorrow and tell the guys to look out for the floating debris on the water and in the coves. All the junk that was on the bottom is floating around since the lake came up. Water stained in some areas but the lake looks good just be safe and don't any boats.
