Just wanted to say Hi to all my buds up there in the north!
Just a few updates, Man it has been a hot and humid summer down here whew! SC has nothing on the panhandle of Florida, even though the average temp has been 93-94* most of the summer but the humidity seems like 50* some days. Got settled into the new house first of March and has been one non stop project after another. Haven't started working on boats/motors yet and don't know how much I want to get cranked back up, seeing I'm about 12 miles to the Gulf of Mexico
not a big fan of working on salt water motors. I have gotten my Florida fishing license and did get to go out on a local lake Talquin and managed to hook into one in the 6 pound range. I'm probably going to join a club here to get more familiar with the fresh water scene but with the gulf so close, I will probably end up selling my boat and getting a bay boat or smaller CC boat.
To combat the heat and humidity we did install a swimming pool and decided instead of feeding the chlorine monkey we were going to go with a salt water system! This has been a great money savings on chemicals. Even with the heat and humidity and the afternoon storms the pool has stayed crystal clear!
Now if anyone is looking to buy a real nice doublewide mobile home on 2.5 acres with a 30x40 shop, a detached wooden work shop and attached storage shed with a 27' swimming pool close to Waldrop's landing in Townville for a killer price let me know.
