Lake Lanier

Georgia
Previous Rankings- 2013: #43 | 2012: #98
37,000 acres

It’s revered as a world class spotted bass lake for good reason.

Santee Cooper Lakes (Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie)

South Carolina
Previous Rankings- 2013: Not Ranked | 2012: #23
110,000 acres and 60,000 acres, respectively

Like Table Rock, this lake is blooming late this year. That said, locals expect it to go from zero to hero very soon.

89

Lake Strom Thurmond (Clarks Hill Lake)

Georgia
Previous Rankings- 2013: Not Ranked | 2012: Not Ranked
71,000 acres

It took 26 pounds to win a March tourney here. The lake can be fickle, but when it’s good, it’s really good.

Lake Murray

South Carolina
Previous Rankings- 2013: #78 | 2012: #90
50,000 acres

This lake is proving very healthy this year. January tournaments required 15 pounds to be in the Top 10, and 20 pounds to have a chance to win, with a lot of fish being caught.
