I saw a 31# bag at Greenwood one time in the dead of summer at night. I had 28#'s that night and wasn't even close. Also know of a 33# bag at jocassee in the summer time too!

I saw a 36lb sack at Russell way back in the day, when you use to could go down there and catch big fish.
but I remember when BASS had a tourney on Santee one year and if im not mistaken someone weighed in close to 45lbs

I don't know about a 5 fish limit, but the biggest limit I ever heard of was about 8 or 9 years ago on Monticello. Some of you guys might have been there. I heard Fatback had 7 fish that totaled over 57 lbs. If you culled out his two smallest fish, he probably would have had a monsterous 5 fish limit. He told me and another good friend the bait he caught them on and I bought one just like it. Now I wish he had told me how to correctly rig it and where to find fish like those! He was a very good person and remarkable fisherman.
