Looking to have a keel shield installed on my ranger. Any suggestions on who in the greenville/simpsonville area would be good to get to do this? Any one ever tried to install it yourself?

No I haven't tried to do it myself yet, but I need to. Mine came off a while back and just haven't bought one yet. Shouldn't be to bad to but on as lond as you got a good roller to make sure all the bubbles are out of it. I thought about maybe adding some good silicon to the boat first along with the glue. Not sure how good the glue is that come with them but I know that good quality silicon will definitely work. My dad put some tapered stainless tabs under his old 86 model Bomber bass boat 30 years ago and stuck them with silicon and they are still there.

Its not bad. Just use the scuff pad and get it roughed up good. Then slowly attach pushing it on as hard as you can.

Its held on by 3m tape - no need to add any silicone and actually it may mess it up if you do. There is a bonding agent called 5200 that is a marine adhesive and now that shit is sticky as hell. We use it to seal the motor mount holes when mounting motors.
