I'm asking for a friend. He wants to stay near Cooper River near Moncks Corner, Summerville, Cypress Gardens area. He said that Berkley Inn and Atkins Landing have closed. Anyone know of a good place to stay that allows you to clean your fish too.

I'm also looking to fish in area. A friend gave me his simms tributary stockingfoot and I've been dying to try it. I heard its one of the best fishing waders and I do miss the joy in fishing. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. I saw a good report on

If anyone has military, retired, active duty, guards or reserve you can stay at Short Stay NWRC they have nice condos and camp grounds they are in Moncks Corner at the dam near the locks to the river.

Good luck on your search! Since your planning on fishing in a river, you might want to consider getting into fly fishing. Ive been fly fishing for 5 years now and its quite rewarding and fun. If anyone is looking to get into fly fishing, you can start by checking fishing rods for fly fishing on .

If you decide to try fly fishing the Cooper I'd darn sure be doing it from a boat and not wading. Too many toothy lizards in that water.
