I live on Hartwell, there are many free ramps here. Are there free ones on Keowee? I would prefer a free ramp closer to Seneca.
I would also like to know where on Keowee that is especially nice and is it mostly free to drive at high speeds. thanks

South Cove is the closest to Seneca but it is County park and does charge a small fee to launch, Warpath Landing is on the east side of the lake and is free it is between the Nuke plant and Gap Hill. You can run wide open anywhere on the lake.

thanks for the reply.. I'll go there
how about Jocassi.. any free one there and more important, I hear it is extremely beautiful with waterfalls right into the lake. Can you recommend an area that is especially spectacular and which ramp is closest to it. I'll bring the family

I did explore both lakes.. I like Jocassee better. We carefully viewed the shoreline and listened, we found 2 waterfalls. A truly enjoyable day. fee was 5 per person park admission or 3.25 for seniors.
Hartwell is under-rated, its huge and not busy like the others. I live on hartwell but a house on jocassee would be like having the water and the mountains, but who could afford it.

Yup, shame the real estate gets on the pricey side over there. What else is there to Hartwell besides it's huge btw?
