I have a TR-196 now, my next one will be a 21 ft Triton........

Now that I have a 21 ft. boat, I could not go smaller.

I sold my Stratos when my girls went to college...but

I still fish a lot with my brother who just bought a 188vs Ranger...

I fish the NBC trail with a friend who has a 21' 2001 Skeeter and if I had to pick between the 2006 Ranger and the 2001 Skeeter I would pick the Skeeter...

I'm sure most folks here know my boat preference but for that few that does not I would BUY A SKEETER but since I have some I will just stay with my SX 18 ft with the 130 Yamaha. Since I have gotten older I don't feel the NEED FOR SPEED and mine will do 67mph which I seldom take it there these days. It gets great fuel milage and will go places some big boats won't and it is easier for an old man to load and unload.......... These other boat companies that can't make up their minds what kind and size of boats they want to build are finding themselves chasing SKEETER Boats now and no doubt SKEETER does build the best Fisher Friendly boat on the market today. Ya'll need to go by and see Mikes new lineup of Skeeters when he gets them in. Your going to be impressed with the boat and the Boat Dealer...........

Soon as I get out of college and get a job, my 1st purchase, other than a house, is gonna be a 20 or 21 foot Triton with a 200 or a 225 E-tec. Or if I get a really good job, a Bullet with a 250 Mercury.

Sounds like a good plan Bryan. I think they are all coming with Mercs on them now but if you can find get just the boat I'll take care of you on the motor. Hope college is going well.

I have a 288 Stratos now and it's 18 ft 3 in. Like softy I have no desire for a boat much bigger than this. I was content with my 16 ft Bumblebee for fishing but it wasn't as safe in rough water so when I was out on Murray on the main lake I always worried about storms and stuff. I feel better with the bigger boat but hate feeding it and dragging it around.....LOL. I'd say 18 to 19 ft would be my preference if I was getting a new one. I like the way this Stratos rides and it's a fast hull but it turns flat and the rear sits low when at rest in the water. I don't like either of those things. JMO. RM

I just want to say that you really need to test ride any baot before you buy it. I have been in a lot of different boats and what sold me on the Skeeter was the ride. They advertise the smoothest and driest ride for a reason. Get on the lake with any other boat with 3 to 4 foot chops and you will really see the differance. I have the 190ZX and my next will be a 20 foot.
