man i thought there were a bunch of yankmee's on here? the walleye is by far the best eating fish going. next in line are those jombo jojo yellow perch from russell. dang i need to get down there and get a mess of those things.

jojo, what day can you go next week. i'm off all week, i'll bring the spoons...lol.

They got some good yellow perch upstate ? We caught them w/ minnows in MI
Winter time small "russian hooks", teardrops etc. with minnow heads on em jiggin thru the ice.

been there done that bigmouth. we use to go out, well drive out on saginaw bay and wear those yellow perch out. the cool thing was you'd throw them out on the ice and they'd freeze solid. when we got home to clean them they would un freeze and some of them would start flopping...lol.

You can't beat a big pot of catfish stew.

Broiled spanish mackerel is wonderful as well. Used to fish the Chesapeake Bay for mackerel and strippers...good, good, good eating.

I know you guys are joking about the carp, but in the mid-west they have carp restaurants just as we have catfish houses. There were several in Omaha. I tried it a couple of times, and thought it was pretty good. They didn't understand how anyone could eat a catfish.

Deer are cute to, especially smothered in morel mushrooms and lathered with butter!
