Well, while I was down visiting JoJo on my big (and only) fishing trip I broke my JnP rod on hookset. Mark Ingle says it was a little guy, but I am thinking it was 12 pounds plus

Anyway the fish got away and I need a new rod. Any suggestions?? I had a 7 ft Bionic Blade with a telescoping handle. Usinga Lews reel - don't recall the model number

Grady's in Anderson has a super selection of Daiwa Light and Tough and Team Daiwa-S telescoping flipping sticks. Don also has a real good selection of Shimano's. Decent prices too!

Hard to beat the Falcon LR XG. I got 3 6-10" heavy also got a Cara that's rated the same but is a little "softer" LR {Lowrider} is about $100. Mine are holding up well and they work good for tx-rig stuff too....CYA

As usual, I'm with Jojo on this one. Both of the Falcons mentioned are great options. The Original FC-6-166 is a great 6'6" jig rod as well if you don't want the 7'. I use that as my primary TX Rig and light (1/4-3/8oz.) jig rod. It's going to feel heavy if you're used to the Lowrider or Cara series. I flip with the Heavy Action Lizard Dragger as well. It has a really soft tip.

Well I apprecaitte everyones' advice. I tend to be a little frugal sometimes. I fished with my old club here in Salisbury and one of the guys in the club runs Flemming Candy Comapny. Flemming's has an awesome show room of bass tackle, probably the best local shop for several counties. Anyway, he had some of the new Team Diawa rods in stock and since he is wholesale I got it for about half of the BPS price. Hvy 7'6" flipping stick green collapsable handle - really like the feel of of it. Now if I could just find some fish  D

Good choice Cooter! I've been using TD gear for 'bout 15-16 years now. Matter of fact, I just bought another Flipping stick just like that from Don at Grady's. I know you'll like it. I had a TD "S" series flippin stick I bought when they first came out with the series about 12 or 13 years ago and it finally let go when I tried to set the hook on a stump using braid. 12 0r 13 years, I sure got my moneys worth from that stick. bass10
